Heartland Arts (formerly Park Rapids Lakes Area Arts Council) works toward the support and organized interaction among artists and arts related groups and activities in the Heartland Lakes area.
Generous contributions from citizens and businesses as well as grant support are part of helping Heartland Arts work for the growth of Park Rapids and surrounding communities to create a vibrant artistic area.
Heartland Arts also values creative placemaking to accelerate creativity, connection and collaboration to advance vibrant and welcoming communities.
The arts council was not established to replace local arts groups, but to encourage and support them and explore ways to collaborate. It is the desire of Heartland Arts to provide a communal presence to help local artists thrive and unlock the artistic potential of every related endeavor.
